The ACMSA Designathon is an annual 4-day art project competition that values innovation, teamwork, and creativity. The competition aims to help students build their artistic identity for creative career development and personal growth by providing platforms and opportunities that empower students to explore art passions and talents. Students may choose one of four art mediums to complete their project. Workshops facilitated by multiple art organizations and professors are also provided to give students an opportunity to network and gain feedback from industry professionals.

In this category, you will explore the artistic synergy between traditional photography and digital media collage. Participants can showcase their skills in capturing visually compelling images and utilizing digital tools to create captivating collages.
In this category, you are tasked with creating interactive and immersive digital experiences. This may include websites, apps, or interactive installations that engage users in a unique and compelling way. No coding is required for this category, as the focus is on the design.
In this category, you will demonstrate your proficiency in animation. Whether it's 2D, 3D, motion graphics, or animatics, the focus is on bringing static images to life, with a large emphasis on creativity, technical skill, and storytelling through animation.
Registration formally opens, allowing you and your team to sign up for ACMSA's 2024 Designathon. Signups will run for 3 weeks.
We will start with the opening ceremony and introduce the challenge statement before dedicating the next two days for participants to create, revise, and finish their works.
Project check-in sessions with the ACMSA team and workshops will be hosted through out the day to provide participants with ample feedback and resources to help them in their creation process.

Any final adjustments and presentations on participants' creative works should be finished. The judging process will begin and awards will be announced during the closing ceremony.
